JG Miller plays my “Contemplation of Bravery” with the US Army Field Band, The Musical Ambassadors of the US Army, Friday Feb 20 on their spring tour. I am honored to represent my country this way.
Originally written for the 200th anniversary of West Point – The U.S. Military Academy, and premiered by the West Point Band with Harry Ditzel horn soloist, I tried to portray the solitary reality soldiers face when circumstances require them to relinquish their safety for the greater good; to put duty and responsibility before self.
