Joseph Bertolozzi is teaching organ masterclass Thursday June 2, 2011, from 2:30pm – 5pm at Roosevelt High School Auditorium, 156 South Cross Rd., Hyde Park NY, 12538 on the Robert D. “Gus” Pratt Memorial Organ, newly installed and maintained by the NY Theatre Organ Society (John Vanderlee, curator) as an educational initiative. The program is free and open to the public.

Six organ students drawn from the organ program at FDR, directed by John Baratta, will perform a complete work, excerpt, hymn or improvisation lasting 2-5 minutes. In dialogue with each performer I will provide commentary and explore possible new perspectives to cultivate and encourage imagination in performance.
