Joseph Bertolozzi‘s album TOWER MUSIC / MUSIQUE DE LA TOUR, on the innova label (innova #933) is now available.
Bertolozzi’s masterful recasting of this global icon into a musical instrument has shifted the landscape of public art.
The seed for the project began in 2004 when the composer’s wife took a whimsical stroke at a poster of the Eiffel Tower. Five years later the Billboard-charting Bridge Music was completed. Five years after that he completed the composition of Tower Music. It took another year for more fundraising, health issues, professionally mixing and mastering the album (twice!) and the business of finding the right label for the recording.
