“…A TOWERING ACHIEVEMENT IN SOUND…”

“…a towering achievement in sound”

That’s the headline from a review of the successful premiere on Nov. 8, 2018 of Tower Music 5tet at Southern Oregon University, performed by Left Edge Percussion under the direction of Dr. Terry Longshore. Here’s a link to the whole article: “A Towering Achievement in Sound”

The evening’s offerings included:

– video projections of composer Joseph Bertolozzi harvesting sounds from the Eiffel Tower

– an A/B comparison between the original recording of one of the movements of #TowerMusic and the percussion quintet adaptation performed by Left Edge Percussion

– introductory remarks by the composer

– a live stream of the concert
